How do I receive my gifts?

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Receive gifts one at a time
    1. Go into your Facebook notifications and click on one of the myFarm gifts
    2. You will be sent to the myFarm Gift Acceptance page
    3. You will see a message at the top:
      You have 5 unaccepted gifts.
      Go back to your requests to accept your gifts individually or click here to accept all of your gifts immediately.
    4. From here click myFarm button to place the item, or click Go back to your requests to receive another gift
  2. Receive gifts all at one time
    1. Go into your Facebook notifications and click on one of the myFarm gifts
    2. You will be sent to the myFarm Gift Acceptance page
    3. You will see a message at the top:
      You have 5 unaccepted gifts.
      Go back to your requests to accept your gifts individually or click here to accept all of your gifts immediately.
    4. Click on click here, to accept all of your gifts at one time
    5. Click on myFarm to place your gifts on your farm
    6. Go back to your Facebook notification page and you can quickly click ACCEPT to clear out all of your gifts from the Facebook notification page. NOTE: Do Not click IGNORE. By doing that, it sends a message to Facebook that you are being spammed with gifts from myFarm and they use that information to adjust how many gifts we can send every day. If too many people click INGNORE, then they lower the amount of gifts we can send each day.

PLANT / PLACE items received as Gifts or Purchased:

  1. Click on the brown GIFTS button, to the right of the STORE button
  2. Click on the item you want to plant / place from the screen that pops up
  3. Click on your farm where you want to plant / place the item
  4. If you want to move that item, first refresh your screen, then click the item and choose MOVE
  5. Remember, all items purchased in the Cash Shop are shown as Gifts from the King

I received 34 gifts, but I only see 12 when I click on gifts.

Click on the arrows at the top of the gift window to cycle through your pages of gifts.

How do I send gifts?

  1. Click on the SEND GIFTS button near the top of the page
  2. Choose the gift you want to send
  3. Select the friend(s) from the list or type in their names, click SEND
  4. Facebook typically allows you to send 40 gifts per day. However, sometimes Facebook changes the amount you are allowed to send, which myFarm has no control over.

Yesterday I was able to send 40 gifts, but today I can only send 30, can you fix it?

Facebook controls how many gifts you can send, myFarm has no control on this issue. Facebook does take the amount of gifts that people ignore into their calculation, so you should not click ignore on the Facebook notification page when you are clearing out your gifts after clicking ACCEPT ALL on the myFarm gift acceptance page. When many people click ignore, Facebook assumes that a lot of players are spamming other Facebook users to try to get them to play that game. So to ward off spamming, Facebook limits the number of gifts you can send.

Why won't the notices on Facebook go away after I click accept?

Do you have more than 100 notices/gifts TOTAL for all Facebook applications? If so, Facebook shows only the most current 100 notices/gifts sent to you. So, if you have more than 100 total, as you click Accept to clear out your notices/gifts, the older notices/gifts take their place. It's best if you can clear out all notices/gifts every day from Facebook to try to keep your total notices/gifts under 100.

I clicked "Ignore all Invites from this friend", now I don't receive any gifts from them

  1. From the Facebook Home page, hold your cursor over "Settings", and beneath that, select "Privacy Settings"
  2. From there, select "Applications"
  3. From there, select the "Settings" tab
  4. Scroll down to the very bottom of this page, where you will find "Ignored Application Inviters". Uncheck any farm friends that you may have accidentally "ignored".

How do I send gifts to just my myFarm friends?

You need to create a Facebook friend list of your myFarm friends.

  1. Go to the top of your Facebook page and click FRIENDS
  2. Click on MAKE A NEW LIST on the left side of the page. You will be prompted to type in a name for the list, then hit ENTER.
  3. Type the names of the friends you want in your myFarm list into the box, or click on CHOOSE MULTIPLE FRIENDS button. The names you add will be automatically saved into your list, and you will be able to use that list when you send your gifts.

I want to add farm friends, but I don't want them to see my personal information on Facebook.

You need to create a Facebook friend list of your myFarm friends. See section above this.

  1. Once you have made your list, on the top blue bar on Facebook mouse over "Settings" then click "Privacy Settings"
  2. Click on "Profile Information" then click the drop down box next to each line and click "customize"
  3. In the bottom section of the pop up "Hide this from" type in the name you called your myFarm group.
  4. Go through each line and customize each one.
  5. Then click on "Go Back to Privacy" at the top, and do the same thing for Contact Information
  6. If you have real life friends and family that you have added to the myFarm group, but you want them to be able to see your personal information, create another group for your real life friends and family, but do not add that group to the "Hide this from" and they will be able to see your personal information.

Okay, so I made a myFarm Friends List, but how does it work?

  1. Go to SEND GIFTS and click on the gift you want to send.
  2. After the page for sending comes up, click on the FILTER FRIENDS, and choose the list you created for your myFarm application.
